Divergent Collection

In this package, we're selling you the best, faction collections. There are five collections, one for each faction. The Amity collection includes friendship bracelets, a necklace with the Amity faction symbol, Divergent by Veronica Roth, and a poster of the Amity Manifesto. The Erudite collection includes the necklace with the Erudite emblem, a book about the discovery of simulation serums, a poster of the Erudite Manifesto, and a copy of Divergent by Veronica Roth. The Abnegation collection includes the ways the Abnegation helped the Factionless, the Abnegation Manifesto, necklace with the Abnegation symbol, and Divergent by Veronica Roth. The Candor collection holds the necklace with the Candor symbol, Divergent by Veronica Roth, a lie detector test, and the Candor Manifesto. The Dauntless collection has a copy of Divergent by Veronica Roth, a necklace with the Dauntless symbol, a collection of temporary tattoos as seen in the books, a poster of the Dauntless Manifesto. If the reader already has Divergent, then Insurgent or Allegiant will be substituted in Divergent’s place.

    We see these symbols throughout the book, in the ways of tattoos, and in the extended copies. We also come across the Manifesto’s in brief passing.  They describe the factions, and the people lying within each. The Manifesto’s should describe the full character of every single faction member, but often some find that they fall through the cracks… the Divergent. Tris, the main character, meets Four who is a Dauntless. This is where we see the faction tattoos come into play. After Tris gets hurt, Four takes her to heal in his room, Tris sees his tattoos. “I walk slowly around him. On his Back is more ink than skin. The symbols of each faction are drawn there– Dauntless is at the top of his spine, Abnegation just below it, and the other three, smaller, beneath them. For a few seconds I look at the scales that represent Candor, the eye that stands for Erudite, and the tree that symbols Amity. It makes sense that he would tattoo himself with the symbol of Dauntless, his refuge, and even the symbol of Abnegation, his place of origin, like I did. But the other three?” (405). His Abnegation tattoo helps her figure out about him and becoming a Dauntless. Tris also has tattoos, one of Abnegation and one of Dauntless, she also has three ravens, to represent her family of her collarbone. Most transfers are supposed to forget their past Factions and Family “Faction before blood,” (43). However; being the rebel Tris is she puts the Abnegation tattoo on her shoulder, in permanent ink, to always remember. 

            

For the Candor’s out there, we recognized their refusal to lie. The Candor final test is to take a truth serum and spill their most dark secret. Unfortunately truth serum is not invented… yet, so we substituted it with lie detector tests. It makes for great truth games. Erudites are known for a thirst for knowledge. They believe that knowledge is power. The Erudite were essential for the development of many technological enhancements. One such enhancement is the simulation serum. “Typically, each stage of the simulation eliminates one or more of the factions,” (20-21). Tris, being Divergent, can overcome the simulations and reason with herself under the stress. She reminds herself that everything is false, reality is different. Due to this she can get out of Fear simulations, these simulations just like the sorting simulations but they have you face your fear, much faster than everyone else. “Three minutes…. You got out three times faster than the other initiates. Whatever you are, you’re not a failure,” (238). Amity supports strong friendships with everyone. They are the faction of love. With the friendship bracelets, you can share with your friends the special bond you have just like the Amity boys and girls.

 This Divergent package will allow fans to dive deeper into themselves and their true character. It also allows them to feel like they know more about their Faction than any other. The posters will allow fans to achieve that every day experience by looking at the Manifestos to remind them who they ‘are’. The copy of Divergent will add an intrigue into the start of the trilogy, and push readers towards the next two books in the saga.
